02  /  How it runs

Four steps, no surprises.

  1. Brief

Share your website goals, existing site and required features through the project enquiry form. A rough brief is enough to start.

  2. Scope & quote

I review the requirements and provide an agreed scope, estimated timeline and quote. Plugin licences and other third-party costs are clarified where relevant.

  3. Build

I build or make the agreed changes on a staging copy where appropriate. You review the work and provide feedback before launch.

  4. Launch & handover

I check the agreed functionality, help launch the website and explain how to edit it. Ongoing support can be arranged separately.

03  /  Every project

What to expect from a website build.

  • Responsive layout checks

Layouts are reviewed at mobile, tablet and desktop sizes, with key interactions checked before handover.

  • Yours to edit

Editing tools are agreed for your project. I explain which content you can manage in Elementor or Divi and where custom code is used.

  • Speed from day one

Image sizes, fonts and scripts are considered during development, alongside the limits of your hosting and chosen integrations.

  • SEO groundwork

Relevant page titles, descriptions, headings and internal links provide on-page SEO foundations. Rankings depend on more than the build.

  • Backups first

Existing sites are backed up before changes, with staging used where appropriate for the work.

  • Straight answers

You receive clear information about scope and limitations, with additional requests discussed before work begins.

04  /  Questions

WordPress development FAQs.

Straight answers for businesses and agencies worldwide. Have a different question? Send me your requirements.

What is included in your custom WordPress development service?

A complete custom WordPress website: design, development in Elementor (or Divi), speed optimization, security setup and a handover so you can manage the site yourself.

  • A custom theme layout built with Elementor Pro’s Theme Builder, with your own header, footer, page and post templates, instead of a pre-made multipurpose theme.
  • Responsive pages checked on mobile, tablet and desktop before launch.
  • Speed work on images, scripts, fonts and caching, measured against Google’s Core Web Vitals targets.
  • Security basics: up-to-date WordPress core, theme and plugins, SSL, protected admin access, spam protection on forms and a backup plan.

WooCommerce, membership, booking or course features are added when your project needs them, and everything included is listed in the quote.

Do you offer white-label WordPress development for agencies?

Yes. I provide white-label WordPress development for agencies: you keep the client relationship and your brand, and I build to your brief and design files.

I work in Elementor, Divi and WooCommerce, follow your design standards and deadlines, and stay out of client communication unless you want me involved. Much of my project work comes through agency partnerships, including several years with UK-based teams, so staging workflows, feedback rounds and clean, editable handovers are routine. Capacity is agreed per project, and my portfolio credits agency projects as team work.

How do you handle WooCommerce speed optimization?

I measure where the store is actually slow, then fix the biggest problems first: caching, product images, unnecessary scripts and database bloat.

WooCommerce is harder to speed up than a brochure site because cart, checkout and account pages have to stay dynamic. So I:

  • Set up page caching that excludes cart, checkout and account pages, plus an object cache such as Redis where the hosting supports it.
  • Resize and compress product images and serve them in modern formats.
  • Stop plugins loading their scripts and styles on pages that do not use them, and cut unnecessary cart-fragment requests.
  • Clean out expired sessions, transients and leftover data, and check the server runs a current PHP version.

Every change is tested on cart, checkout and payments before it goes live, and the results are measured against Google’s Core Web Vitals targets.

Can you redesign or fix my existing WordPress website?

Yes. I work on existing Elementor, Divi and WooCommerce sites, including redesigns, layout fixes, performance improvements and new functionality.

I review the site first and agree what needs changing, so you know the scope before any work starts.

Will I be able to edit the site myself?

Yes, for the content and layouts covered by the agreed editing setup.

At handover I explain how to use the builder, and I point out any custom-coded sections that need developer support.

How much does WordPress website development cost?

Each project gets a fixed quote after I review your brief, because the price depends on what your site needs.

The main factors are the number of pages, design requirements, store or membership features, how ready your content is and any integrations. The quote also lists relevant third-party costs, such as premium plugins.

Can I hire you through Fiverr or Upwork?

Yes. You can hire me through Fiverr or Upwork, or enquire directly.

My profiles are on Fiverr and Upwork, and you can also contact me here.
